I am a pretty heavy user of my Apple iPhone 4's email capability, constantly reading messages as they arrive and sending out responses after tapping madly on the tiny .Have you already tried to reboot your iPhone? Push and hold the power button for 5 seconds, then slide to power off. Once your iPhone is shut down hold the power .My iPhone is not showing me when I have messages on the Messages app, and is also not ringing when I have text messages even though my settings are set to alert me .
